Vincenzo Siracusa or Pepper as he is known to many has been surrounded by music all his life. His father once in a small band and mother in the fashion industry, he was inspired from a very early age and absorbed all he could. As a child he took piano and guitar lessons, but soon found a true passion for drums. It is here where his true love for beats was found.By the age of 12 Pepper was a drummer in a band with his friends making music and writing lyrics. Here he discovered a genuine passion for producing, sampling and experimenting with various music and sounds.
As his musical tastes and knowledge expanded he took a strong liking to House music, Garage, Jungle and “Dance” music in general, however always still enjoyed listening to Soul, R’n’B, Hip-Hop and every other genre of music for that matter. Pepper consequently became interested in DJs and DJing techniques such as mixing, beat-juggling and scratching and it was then a new DJ was born.
Pepper stared DJing aged 14 and was strongly influenced by the House and Garage scene of the eighties and nineties, especially from artist such as Todd Terry, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Grant Nelson and Todd Edwards to name a just few.
Brought up listening to London based underground pirate radio stations, Pepper was eager to find the right connections that would eventually lead him to his own show on radio. The Natural Born Funkers are a collective of artists formed in 2003 and originally consisted of Dr Pepper & Mr Curtesy. The pair met and joined forces on Ouch FM, where they shared a radio show every day of the week for more then two years.
The duo later discovered that not only did they share the same birthday but also shared the same dream and that was to become well established artists in the industry and to travel the world doing what they loved doing best...DJing.
In 2005 the pair came that one step closer to making their dream a reality when they single handedly organised and accomplished a successful tour of Greece playing in some of the best clubs and bars in Athens, Zakinthos / Zante and Monevasia amongst many other places.
The tour was so successful that the duo revisited Greece the following year and completed yet another memorable tour in 2006, this time visiting Kos, Rhodes, Zakinthos / Zante and once again returning to Athens.

Room Control Records
In 2004 Pepper was introduced to DJ / producer Dave Jones, the founder of the independent record label Room Control Records. They met through a mutual friend and it was not long before Dave asked Pepper to join him on his Room Control Radio Show on Unknown FM (Fridays 10AM – 12PM).
Towards the end of that year Dave organised a Room Control Tour in Australia for six weeks and asked Pepper to cover his radio show. Once Dave returned and after a few more radio shows together, the Unknown FM management were keen to offer Pepper his own radio slot and he has been on there ever since.
Pepper gradually became more involved with the label, working on releases, promotion, radio interviews and club nights, where he played at clubs such as London’s Ministry Of Sound on numerous occasions representing Room Control.
After many years in the music industry Dave Jones believed it was time for him to retire and due to the unfortunate decline in world record sales within the record industry, the label suffered greatly and was forced to take a break and re-evaluate its position.
With releases from many international recognised artists such as The Nights Of The Round Tables, DJ Romain, DJ Spen & The Muthafunkaz, it was difficult for a small independent record label to continue working with such high profile artists and still keep to its high quality standard of productions, so the label was sold in 2007 to be managed by a bigger more established label.
